NOW MY QUESTION IS can i fill these with canned apples or blueberries? or any oter fruits?

Pierogies are like pasta. I don't think they would taste very good with fruit in them.

Yes you can. I like mine filled with Cherries or fried apples and sprinkled with a little powdered sugar. Some people like to eat the dessert perogies with sour cream.

This is a Slavic food. Ukrainians call them Vareniky. It does not belong to just one Slavic nation. They are referred to as a Polish food because there were more Polish immigrants in the states before there were really any Ukrainian, Russian, etc.

Traditionally they have sauerkraut, potato and cheese, ricotta cheese, sometime meat.

Pierogies are a pasta type of 'dumpling' made with a potatoe base. Not good with fruit. Better with a rich tomato sauce. ;)

Its a Polish food, they are often filled with fruit, usually cheese or kraut though.
