I am doing a science project that requires a sound level meter (which i have) and a frequency maker (its a thing that is programmed to create sound waves) which i haven't bought. where do they sell them??? in california, LA, Torrance, or Long Beach, pleez!

From an electronics test equipment dealer. What you are describing is refered to as an audio frequency signal generator. I suggest Newark electronics.

You will also need an amplifier to feed the signal through to convert it to actual sound. That would be fed into a speaker, which is likely in the amp case.

You might be better off to use an electric guitar with the amp.

I would try radio shack first,if they don't have it ask them where you could find it.
