LOL!
Some preachers say that once you are saved you are always saved. The tongues crowd say you must be born again again and baptized again too.

Other so called Christians have this same problem who understand the need for baptism. So if you are born again can you be reborn again? Yes, but the most important thing is to realize that life is a journey and we are making progression constantly. If not so, then the sacrifice Jesus Christ made upon the cross would also have no effect. YES, progression is eternal and just because you sometimes have a rollercoster ride doen't mean you are finished with it if you have a little bump in the road along the way. The truth is that we are NOT saved by grace alone, but by obediance to every word that proceeds from the mouth of God including the works we do. If you really want salvation or being born again then you better get back on the stick as many times as it takes to make enough progress to be eternally progressing. You also need a little faith that you can do it along with a sincere heart to find the truth. It was once said that truth comes from many places. I've found truth in about every religion I've looked at including the JW's and Mormons, but very little truth from the radio and TV "Born Agains". Hope you sincerely seek truth if you truely want to be born again. When you find it, you will know that you have been "Born Again".

1 Cor 12:3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord EXCEPT BY THE HOLY SPIRIT.
Phil 2:13 for it is GOD WHO WORKS IN YOU both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
It is the Holy Spirit who convicts and helps someone to get saved. We do not do it ourselves based on the 2 scriptures above. In fact whenever we receive anything from God it is the Holy Spirit who helps us to get it without us even knowing about it. This is what the grace of God is all about. The Spirit gives life the flesh counts for nothing (John 6:63). We cannot effectively renounce our faith unless the Holy Spirit helps us do it. The Holy Spirit will not do it so that we can never renounce our faith. Once saved you are always saved. Moreover when you are under grace you are not subject to the law. So God will not judge you when you break the law by renouncing your faith by denying your salvation. Remember that God's grace and His gift of righteousness empower us not to sin. Grace is not a licence to sin because there are still natural consequences for your sins although God may be out of the picture. You are saved to live in righteousness!

What I'm wondering is whether you also are going to need to be baptized again too since you're starting over.
Seriously, either you have faith or you don't, and if God is the one to give you faith rather than you taking it, then I believe the Bible when it says that once given, that faith is not going to go away. God is not a choice on the menu that you can order and decide you don't want once it's delivered. It's rather the opposite, the saved are His choice, and God is powerful enough to not let His own slip out of his hand.

These are human definitions and requirements. If you have faith God will know it because he reads your heart. If you continue to reject God then you will be condemned faster than an unbeliever because you heard and understood the gospel and then after accepting it you rejected God. You believe or you do not, you can loose faith but to renounce God expecting to yo-yo back and forth is like playing Russian Roulette. The end of the world might not come for many decades or even centuries but once you die that is the end of the world for you. What if you get hit by a bus during one of your renunciations? Why play around and take chances with eternity?

No. God is merciful. Once your born again and repented you do not need to be baptized again.
However,
Born again means you have been annoited (chosen) by God's holy spirit to be among the 144,000 [Rev. 14:3-5].
Born Again Christians or Annoited ones have been chosen from Pentecost 33 C.E. Progressively on till this day, believing anointed ones “were sealed with the promised holy spirit,” this in view of a coming “day of releasing by ransom.” As the apostle Paul expressed it, God “has also put his seal upon us and has given us the token of what is to come, that is, the spirit, in our hearts.” (Ephesians 1:13; 4:30; 2 Corinthians 1:22) Each anointed Christian is “called and chosen,” and he has proved himself “faithful.”—Revelation 17:14.
These Chosen ones (144,000) will Regin with Christ in Heaven. His Heavenly Government at his appointed time
This will occur after Armagedon [Rev. 21:1-5]
These Born Again Christians (Annoited ones) are to govern over the "great crowd" [Rev. 19:1] which are righteous mankind with an earthly hope.
The meek shall inherit the earth [Psalms 37:11] in the new system of things once he has rid the earth of wicked mankind and sent Satan chained to the abyss for a 1,000 years.[Rev.20:1-3]
What steps are required on the part of prospective disciples or (annoited ones) before Jehovah would consider them for spiritual sonship?
There are (6) six distinct steps that these must take. But let it be noted that God requires these same things of all who would become true Christians and gain salvation, whether their eventual reward will be a heavenly one or an earthly one.
1. Take in accurate knowledge:
2. Exercise faith:
3. Repentance:
4. Conversion:
5. Dedication:
6. Baptism

i have been baptized before I had anything to say about it. I spit on the cross for fun and was the heretic of my youth. Kicked out of catholic preschool even.
when i was ten i ran down the isles and recieved jesus with a pastor on a stage to become 'born again'.
the next day I was 'bored again' and forgot about it.
does that mean 'im saved'?
give me an FN break. even BA Christians have to have some sort of standard. I seriously, truly, honestly consider myself a decent person. I could be exponentially many times worse in ethic or moral than I am and I have contributed of myself to society, but maybe im going to hell because I think Jesus is a really bad very old joke told to overgrown children.
But supposedly I could go ahead and do all kinds of stupid garbage that I know is wrong otherwise, but have an emotional scapegoat called Jesus and know im going to some sort of cloud city after life?
This is the fundamental danger of christianity.
thats a very valid question you post.
Your answer is you will have to reach down between your legs and pull your head out ur rear again and your proctologist will not be pleased.

No. If you are truly born again, you cannot be taken from His hand. That is where the Holy Spirit comes in. He leads us back to an understanding of who we really are in Christ. Just like a person who gets an apartment and loses his job and can't pay his rent....his parents in secret pay him up to date, but the renter doesn't realize it. He THINKS he's still out of a home, out in the cold. But eventually he finds out his debt is paid and has a different attitude. One of gratitude and thankfulness.

No, you can't. It is in:
Matthew 12:31-32
Which says:
31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
This means that once you are saved you receive the Holy Ghost and to go out and deliberately sin, you are blaspheming God, and you cannot be forgiven again.
Anyone who would want to renounce their faith and come back later is someone who wants to sin. Why would anyone want to do this?
