I know no man knows the day or the hour, not even the son, but my question is more like since we are seeing what is called the Labor Pains. Famine, Wars, and Rumors of Wars, Pestillence and Disease. What do you think? Think it coming soon?

Let me point out the the words Omnipresent, Omnipotent and Omniscient are not in the Bible either, but we know that god is all these things. Caught up is the word in the Bible which comes from the Greek word Raptere(sp? I am sure I spelled it wrong) anyway, that is where the English word Rapture comes from. Also, the word Bible isn't in the Bible, however that doesn't change the fact that there is one.

It might. These are the last days before Jesus will come and take his church.

Read Revelations 8

in Revelation, it talks about the last days. In Revelation 8:11, it talks about "wormwood," In Ukraine, (which is where I am from before I came to US), the word wormwood means chernobyl.

Chernobyl happened in 1989.

"11the name of the star is Wormwood.[a] A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter. "

The water will be bitter, and that many people have died from the waters, means that there was radiation after chernobyl, and a lot of people died from radiation.

So if these days are the last days, that means that GOD may come and get his church anytime

In every generation there are people who believe that the 'end is nigh'. It's something that religious leaders have capitalized on for centuries. They can get people to behave and spread the word by repeating the phrase 'Jesus is coming back, real soon!' Well guess what; People were saying that in the year 2 C.E. There have always been wars, famine, disease, rumours of wars, etc. and no rapture happened then. What makes you think that now is special. I'll tell you what, you're alive now. That's the only reason this particular time in history feels so special to you. Trust me, there were far more earmarks of armageddon in generations past than there are today.

There is no such thing as 'the Rapture' no-one is coming back and the future has not been accurately prophesied, ever!

Instead of focusing on some imaginary future event, and guaranteeing yourself a good table near the stage in heaven, why not try and taker steps to make the world a better place for future generations. And that doesn't mean scraing them about a hippy boogieman that's gonna come and judge everybody in 'x' number of years.

The secret rapture is a false belief started by a young 14 year old girl, Margaret McDonald, out of Scotland and propagated by John Darby. It was never taught before the 1820's, even in Christianity it is a new belief. Christians and non Christians alike will witness the Second Coming.

Most charismatic groups that thrive around the rapture doctrine would be shocked to know the true source of their belief.

First, I call it a tribulation, not a rapture; I interpret the prophecy differently, but surely there are many similarities.

Now, for the first time, Biblical and Qur'anic prophecies are both being fulfilled.

I do not know when it will happen, nor if it will happen in my lifetime. But I most certainly believe it will happen, and probably soon in the scope of things (which could still be a hundred or more years).

No.

In the early 1970's people were saying the same things.

Then again, the Apostle Paul thought that Jesus was coming soon too, and he had to deal with the problem of what would happen to people who'd died before that happened.

I personally don't believe the Rapture doctrine. I think that the Bible doesn't support it, that you have to twist scriptures to get the Rapture doctrine. And, when was the last time that God kept God's people out of the middle of the trouble? God normally takes God's people straight thru the MIDDLE of the troubles!!!

The word rapture isn't in the Bible.

However, if you mean the Second Coming and Armageddon, I really don't know when it'll happen. The Bible even says know one will know the time.

It is likely to happen in our lifetime. One of the requirements was a database that could cope with several billion records and now that is possible. A one world government does need people fed up enough to give up some rights and we are going through that phase by social engineering now. Technology is making some of the requirements possible so it is more feasible now than ever.

Didn't anyone tell you, the rapture happened last week. Jesus came and took all the worthy people to heaven.

All the Buddhists are gone.
