fish or chicken, poultry, eggs, vegetables, whole grain foods (carbohydrates - such as oatmeal, whole-wheat bread, and brown rice), fruit, plenty of water. also helps to keep away from foods such as white rice, white bread, potatoes, white pasta, soda, and sweets. they can increase your blood sugar that can lead to weight gain, diabetes, heart disease, and other chronic disorders. if you do use any of the ones to keep away from, make sure you use them sparingly.

Haha well I'm American so I don't know exactly what 73 kgs is equal to, but anywho... I found the most effective was just stop eating when you're full. It sounds obvious but most people keep eating, for some reason, even after they're full. This can be done better by eating slowly so your mind will have time to process when your stomach is full and let you know. Cardio is absolutely essential, at least twenty minutes a day. No matter how many calories you cut, you cannot safely lose weight without cardio. Also, just making healthier choices, such as eating fruit instead of greasy snacks helps. Good luck on your new healthy ways!!

What you may be interested in is The Paleolithic Diet:
http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/roberthodgen/paleo.htm

Do Eat: Meats and Fish, Fruits, Vegetables, Nuts, and Berries.
Do Not Eat: Grains, Beans, Potatoes, Dairy, Sugar.

Sometimes called the Caveman Diet. Take a look at the book "Neaderthin"
http://www.amazon.com/Neanderthin-Caveman-Achieve-Strong-Healthy/dp/0312975910/sr=8-1/qid=1166855388/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/104-4166327-1709543?ie=UTF8&s=books

I was on this diet for a couple of years. My health definitely improved (as my blood tests showed). Not eating bread or potatoes was difficult - especially if eating out. Restaurants would let me substitute the mashed potatoes with my choice of french fries or a baked potato. Ask for a salad or veggies and I'd get stupid stares. Ask for a hamburger without a bun and they were ready to call the police thinking I was some escaped lunatic.

However, I recommend this diet for anyone looking to get healthier. But give it time. I'd recommend giving up one more thing each week rather than everything cold turkey. For example, dairy the first week, beans the second, etc. Note: beer counts as a grain. So does tofu. Eat meat, vegetables, and fruit.

Keep in mind though that this diet costs more than you are probably used to. Grains and potatoes are cheap. Meat and fruit are not.

Enjoy!

Veges Fruit and meat are about it. Some grains as long as not ground like flour. Don't get to extreem on cutting out the less than good stuff.

Your dietary choices are going to be very limited. Rice, beans, fruits & vegetables, meat and fish. That's about it. Soy is possible but there are problems with high consumption for some people.

Good luck with this.
