A Muslim man can only legally have more than one wife in countries where the law allows him to.

Polygamy is against the law in the United States... yes, even in Utah. And since some idiot who doesn't know better will likely mention it, the Mormon church rejected polygamy over a hundred years ago.

In the USA a man may only have ONE wife legally. Utah was not admitted to the Union until it gave up plural marriage. Being married to many people in the USA is illegal and socially UNacceptable.

In Australia the law clearly states that you can only have one wife at any one time. Recently I saw a programs where a muslin immigrate had several wives and they were living separately but living on government handouts. This man was getting govenment handouts for each of his wives and all of his children. He was living very well. Unfortunately for him Australian general society did not look very kindly on him. It is not socially acceptable in Australia

Most Christians would say a man can have only one wife. Socially it is not acceptable to practive polygamy. All the Jews I know only have one wife.

You can only have one. It is illegal in the United States. In Utah there are some extremest Mormon sects that still practice it but that doesn't mean it is legal. Most Mormons do not believe in polygamy.
