Depending on your Merits and Karma, you take rebirth as another being. Could be an angel, could be a demon, could be human or even an animal.

Notice when some people eat they do not bring the food to their mouths, but instead bring their heads towards the food... just like an animal would... could be an animal in a previous rebith... :)

That's not being "imaginative" - what you describe has been the general belief of many, many people through countless generations. Funny that Christians put this down when what you wrote is is not unlike the sort of Jewish mysticism which historically Jesus would have certainly believed and taught (there are only hints of his original teachings left, but they speak loud and clear about the contemporary Judaism's doctrine of reincarnation). We don't become animals, though, unless you choose to... The idea of reincarnation is to perfect the spirit through higher and higher learning, by attaining perfection through the myriad of experiences available to us. You have free will (which may agree with or collide with the free will of others around you) but chances are excellent you will always choose to progress spiritually and explore the full spectrum of humanness before moving on to the next level. You may not be imaginative on this subject, but you're quite smart.

Souls exists only as a union of "dust of the ground" and breath of life.
In Genesis 2:7 this concept of creation is given:
dust + breath of life = living soul
At the death there is another formula:
living soul - breath of life = dust
And where is the soul? There is no soul after death. Because, soul exists only as a union of dust and breath of life from God, as shown in the first formula. The oposite process, given in second formula shows that only dust remains when the Lord takes away His breath of life.
This is why Bible says about death following verses found in
Ecclesiastes chapter 9 verses 5, 6 and 10:
"For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any [thing] that is done under the sun... Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do [it] with thy might; for [there is] no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest."
And Jesus, speaking about death of Lazarus in John chapter 11 says, "Our friend Lazarus sleepeth... Howbeit, Jesus spake of his death." (John 12:11-13). The state of death is simmilar to that of sleep. You know nothing, see nothing, like during the sleep. And it's called "the sleep" because of the resurection that will follow at the comming of Jesus - for righteous, or later for unrighteous (Revelation 20:4-6)

When we will die ,we wont be reborn again until the day of judgment and on that day we would be asked for what we have done in life and then would be sent into heaven or hell based on our good or bad deeds.

The spirit returns to the God that gave it life, however, the righteous are received into paradise, a place of peace and rest. The wicked are assigned to a spirit prison to wait for the resurrection.
