People from Adam to Noah almost lived 1000 years.
Adam was created to live forever, to do that the created must know that the life of his soul is from the creator.
Do not touch the tree in middle of garden or you will die, is like saying do not touch the live and hot electric wire, to die is to die. Dust to dust, not eternal torment.
He said that Adam would die in the day he sinned.
That day was 1000 years. God's day is 1000 years.
With death already in the world, then violence and angels in sin. Gen.6:2,4; Jude 6;
The flood destroyed that and the life sustaining earth. That earth was capable of helping man to live very very long lives.
It is gone. 2Pet.3:13; It must come to be again. New heavens and new earth must be.
Rev.20:1-6,12,13;
Jesus and his heavenly [ No Satan ], for 1000 years to make a new heavens and a new earth.
Thousands of humankind become as angels Luke 20:34-36; John 6:39,30,44; 14:3; Mark 13:27; Heb.12:22-24; Rev.3:12; to last 1Thes.4:15-17. to be with Jesus where he is after Satan and unholy angels are no longer there in heaven, then Satan is put in the pit. Michael and holy angels do this in the end time days.
Billions are for the new earth if they are left in it after the final cleansing at end of the 1000 year reign. Rev.21:1-5,8 is the second death. Rev.20:7-10 is the end.

Some lived longer...Did you know when Jared was 162 years old his Son Enoch was born...In Genesis 5:18 After the birth of Enoch Jared lived another 800 years And had other sons and daughters.He was 962 when he passed.I think that should tell us something...Don't you? Our minds in touch with Jesus will keep ever part of your being going with out a dought.Noah was a person that surely heard the words of the Lord. And He listen to all His commands.God bless you ..Genesis teaches you a lot about the old timers.And as you read you will learn why we today only live short lives He tells you in His words you just have to pray for Him to let you understand all it is you read...Merry Christmas And may the Lords Light shine with in your heart always...

Actually john ole boy I know they did not as well as you do.
in jesus time frame p[eople lived an average of 30 years.
In america (the advanced country in history in 1900) in 1900 people lived an average of 48 years.
There is nothing but religious rhetic to think people lioved that old when it's obvious they did not.
You got to come with a better line than that one if you want to be beleived.

Yeah. Jesus also was born of a virgin, had twelve disciples, worked miracles, was crucified, died, and resurrected.
Oh, wait, I'm sorry - that was Mithras. And Dionysus. And Baal. And Horus. And Ra. And Adonis.
Wow - and they were all around...before Jesus!
It just so happens that life spans increase as time goes on. Quite the opposite in the Bible.

I think you may have confused people of Adam and Eve's time (and on up through Noah's time); they lived long lives, but never more than 1000 years. Noah lived 950 years.
On the other hand, Jesus and people of his time lived lives shorter than the average today.

I'm sorry. Don't think that's right.
In Genesis, God gets so frustrated with people that He says they can only live to about 120.
Can you give me an example of someone in Jesus' day who lived that long?

No, that was people before Noah....Noah was the last. After him, G-d made it no more than 120 for anyone.
SO you are about 4000 years off. But yes, people did live that long once.
