I tried "Aidt"; no hits. I repeated the search with "Schmidt" to see if I mis-understood the screen. I got 200,000+ hits. That tells me there are no families named Aidt in Germany today with listed phone numbers. You could try the same thing with Switzerland and Austria.
This isn't perfect; they might all have cell phones and no land lines.

rootsweb.com, familysearch.org are both free sites. Ancestry.com has some free databases, but most are fee-based.
