You know the one I'm talking about. It's when an image reflects under itself and the opacity seems to increase, giving it that reflective "on the floor" look.

Here's an example from Apple- look at the base of the iPods on the top.

•duplicate object
•rotate180 degrees
•select layer and change to black and white to make as a shadow(hue & saturation option under the layer menu)
•Add a layer mask
•Use the gradient tool to adjust the gradient of what is visible(it should be darkerwhen closer to the object gradually into 0 opacity)
•Adjust opacity of layer if needed
