The Dude

That's like asking if it is wrong for an author to kill off a Character in a book in response to the question of whether or not it is right to kill someone who gets in your way.

A theoretical child is only a concept. An unborn child is very real.

As for the question asked. It is wrong to kill an unborn child (or anyone else) for the sake of convenience regardless of the reasoning.

For those who cry rape and incest: Fewer than 2% of all aborted pregnancies are the result of rape or incest. Even in those cases however, abortion is wrong. It is wrong to commit murder of ones unborn child simply because their bialogical father committed rape or incest against his or her mother. The unborn child is not at fault for their mother's pain and having an abortion will only create more trauma. These children can be given up for adoption if the mother does not feel that she can raise the child.

The low numbers of women who have multiple abortions are because most women who have abortions feel guilty and morn their unborn child. Most go through a period of depression. Some of the children survive abortion attempts and I have never heard of any mother who had their child and then wished that they had gotten an abortion.

Abortion is the killing notice the word killing of an unborn baby. We have used abortion as a means of birth control. If you dont want to make a baby. keep you thing in your pants and your legs closed. Quick fix to solve this problem. When is there a good time to have a baby, when your a millionaire, there are hundred and thousands of people who have had babies and it may not have been the "right time" but you do what you have to, to provide for your child, if that means someone works two jobs, or whatever. You go without buying a 100 dollar pair of jeans and buy a 20 dollar pair instead. you buy hamburger instead of steak. Abortion is selfish no matter how you look at it. I dont want a baby, so i will just kill it. I cant afford a baby but i can afford to go out and get drunk everynight so lets kill the baby. I think you get the point

The vast majority of abortions are performed at the convenience of the mother. I'm sure many do have them for various other reasons, but let me just say that those feeling guilt from having an abortion can recieve peace and forgiveness in the arms of a loving God. But in saying that I also wish more women would give the babies to loving families instead. I would have adopted half a dozen kids if I could afford the adoptions. It's so expensive to adopt. I think the most important thing that young women thinking about abortion can do is to seriously think about how this will affect them long term. There is a risk to abortion, not just with the death of their child but also to their own health that isn't talked about as much as it should be. It makes you at higher risk for breast cancer. If you decide later in life to have children, it puts your pregnancy at higher risk for misscarraige...not to mention the emotional toll it takes on the woman, all political views aside. It's not good for a woman. I don't want to overlook the obvious, and that is there is another life at stake here that deserves the same rights as any other human being, the unborn child. I got preggo out of wedlock and I chose to keep my baby, married the boyfriend who got me preggo and now my son will be 10 in June. He is the blessing of my life and us "growing up" together has been a wonderful adventure. I encourage any woman contemplating abortion to give it another thought. It can be good. It can be something you have never imagined it would be. I'm still married to the "boyfriend" and we have just celebrated our 10th anniversary and I have been so blessed because I looked beyond my own feelings of desperation and fear and dared to hope it could be good. God bless!

Do you know what I find funny, many of the same people who are against abortion.... ARE ALSO AGAINST SEXUAL EDUCATION!!! If you really think about this, it is quite funny.

It is unfortunate that a select few use abortion as birth control, but do you know that the % of women who get multiple abortions to those who only have one in their lifetime is incredibly small.

The truth is, birth control fails, awful things happen, people are drugged. Now this is not always the case of course, actually, it is usually a result of careless people, but when we start giving the goverment control of our bodies, freedom is indeed lost. Should we set up a court to convince a jury if how a person got pregnant is worthy of an abortion? Or should a person, even if they are raped, be forced to have the pregnancy.

Another things that I find funny is, pro-life people rarely have any real respect for life at all. They are rarely vegetarians, they have no respect for other animals who actually feel pain when they are killed.

It is wrong on several levels.

I agree it should NOT be legal anywhere! Abortion is murder no matter what the excuse. There are plenty of ppl that would love to adopt a baby!

i think it is unless there is a major problem with it. there are alot of other things that can be done such as adoption. or hand it over to the nurces, fire hall , police station. any of them can find it a good home. if you dont want to have kids then dont have sex its as easy as that.

The US Supreme Court said that it is not murder. Am I going to take the word of some pipsqueak, like you, over the Chief Justices. No, I don't think so.

Should it be legal to abuse a child you were forced to have because abortion is not an option? Please remember that many people who choose abortion agonize over the decision and that many choose abortion because they KNOW they would not be good parents or that revealing a pregnancy would cause them great harm. Abortion is not an easy way out, don't assume that people make that choice lightly.

Should be done within the first 3 months. If medical science is not sure about when a fetus feels pain or when the brain stem is developed enough to be aware of pain then extensive studies need to be done to determine this. Then abortion should not be done any later than this time. However the fate of some of these unwanted children is much worse than death.

Not if you're willing to adopt all of the unwanted children they produce.

Oh yeah, why would you want a crack baby? How sad.
