Your "what if" game is why people commit suicide.

Dumb, dangerous question.

My mother left that very same question in her suicide note, ********.

"What should have I done differently?" was what she asked herself.

Now she is dead.

As a female I would not have let boyfriends control me as a teen. As a young adult I would have followed my dream of a higher education, and dumped my cheating first husband earlier than I did. As a mature woman I would never have shopped at Wal-Mart and got attacked by falling merchandise, leaving me with chronic pain. As a parent, I would have stopped at having one child, it is such an intense job. As a daughter I would have spent more time with my dad before he died.

i would not have quit a job at a certain company,

that led to a long stint of unemployment and because of the stress of trying to pay bills that i did not have money for led to alocholism, that led to many very bad choices in my life.

oh yeah, and when i was in high school the hot cheerleader wanted to go out with me, but i was too loyal to my GF at the time so i stayed with her, then 3 years later i caught her cheating on me....and the cheerleader was married at that time with 2 kids and she had hit the lottery and well you get the picture....

Learned how to be more insensitive. Being sensitive and worrying about other people's feelings (and not wanting to hurt them) has caused me a lot of grief and let me make decisions that I would not have made had I relied purely on logic and reasoning.
