Why in the world would you become unemployed on purpose? Haven't you any pride? (I am saying you in general...your question *could* be about someone else). If for some reason something happened where my hubby lost his job and I needed to work I would bust my hump to get and keep one instead of being a leech on society.
I understand some people rightfully need welfare. That is not my complaint. My complaint is someone who has their hand out. No one should help someone who is not ready to help themselves.

you can get welfare but I do not suggest it..it is a burden and it makes you look awful that you can have a child and not take care of it on your own. If you do not have the money to care for a child and are willing to take other people's tax dollars to supposrt your child then I would suggest adoption.

if you have a job keep it we have enough people to keep up. Yes you can get welfare, medical card for the child and maybe even Food Stamps. But if it were me I would rather work.

No, in most states now in order to get "welfare" for the child the parent has to work....most states don't allow a parent to sit on their lazy butt and collect from the taxpayers any longer.

Yeah you'll get cash and food stamps. You can get medicade for the child they won't give you childcare unless your in school or working. But why would you quit your job without another one in line first the welfare ain't gonna be what you can make working.

you can't draw welfare if you quit your job, you have to be fired or laid off. do you really want to burden me with more taxes? i'm already working full-time to pay taxes so others can sit on their a.ss and draw unemployment or dissability when they're just lazy.
