My friends & I all got colds or got sick for awhile after we quit smoking. Ranging from 2wks - 4 months. Not fun. All our Dr's said it was our bodies detoxing. Felt better after that & all found we were more productive during our times. All got stressed way more easily for awhile. The ones who drank had a much harder time when they tried to quit smoking 1st. They would have a drink & desperatly want a cig & were way weaker to say no to one. Highly suggest you quit drinking 1st. Once you know it's not an issue, then quit smoking. Do it when you can afford to detox. This way you will be prepared & not get caught off guard. Good luck to you! Hard but worth it!

It would make you a far healthier person. It would add years onto your life. But I know that's not what you mean. Yeah, smoking and drinking do have physical side effects upon withdrawl as well as the mental side effects. To quit both at the same time may not be a good idea. You may want to talk to a doctor before you make the leap. The doctor could probably prescribe a patch or something for the smoking cessation, but when you want to quit both, your doctor would probably be a wealth of info as far as what to do, what not to do and what to expect. Be kind to your body and do it. Good Luck!

The benefits of qutting your smoking are overwhelming. There will be no bad effects on your health, but your emotional well-being will be affected. First, you will probably be very irritable and cranky, second, you will probably gain a little bit of weight. I would say quit smoking and hit the gym. The gym is good because if you are aggressive because you need a smoke, you can take it out at the gym!!

You'll go through withdrawal and probably start getting a little desprate to get your fix. If you have a strong will, this won't affect you. if you've been drinking and smoking for a long time, it might make things a little harder on you.

It depends how much you smoke or drink. Your biggiest worries would have to be cravings. You won't get all messed up. Just drink water and have gum on hand to help you quit the smoking. Good Luck. COLD TURKEY BEST WAY TO GO>
