Seems to me like there aren't enough christians kicking down my door if they really believe I'm burning in hell. Don't they care?
It makes me wonder what the true extent of their "faith" is. If I were in a burning building, would they walk on by?

Good Question.
I'm not guilty of that.. I am knocking on doors.
I preach the good news every Saturday morning formally attired -Mathew 24:14, and Mathew 28:19-20, and informally as I encounter a listening ear, and here on Yahoo answers.
However, in regards to a burning Hell.
IT HAS been a common teaching in Christendom, as well as in the religions of the Orient, that “souls” of wicked persons undergo cruel torment after death in a fiery “hell. It is a myth that Some people are tormented after death in a fiery hell.
Many religions teach that the wicked will go to a fiery hell and be tormented forever. Is this teaching logical and Scriptural? The human life span is limited to 70 or 80 years. Even if someone was guilty of extreme wickedness all his life, would everlasting torment be a just punishment? No. It would be grossly unjust to torment a man forever for the sins that he committed in a short lifetime.
Only God can reveal what happens after people die, and he has done so in his written Word, the Bible. This is what the Bible says: "As the [beast] dies, so the [man] dies; and they all have but one spirit . . . All are going to one place. They have all come to be from the dust, and they are all returning to the dust." (Ecclesiastes 3:19, 20)
There is no mention here of a fiery hell. Humans return to dust—to nonexistence—when they die.
In order to be tormented, a person has to be conscious. Are the dead conscious? Once again, the Bible gives the answer: "The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten." (Ecclesiastes 9:5)
It is impossible for the dead, who are "conscious of nothing at all," to experience agony anywhere.

"the very idea that your neighbors and friends will be burning in Hell for an eternity should have you kicking down some doors and turning over some shopping carts."
The thought of it breaks my heart and makes me very sad.
"What lengths and extremes do you go to to turn these heathens to the Lord?"
I actually treat them with respect and accept that they wish to go down their own path.

I get it, I really do get it. You're the chief of the thought police.
Your neighbors and friends are adults, and they are responsible for their own lives, their own thoughts, their own philosophies and beliefs as well as for teaching their own children. Further they have the ability to inquire into anything in which they might be interested and to decide yes or no to any of them. What they understand and believe and practise is NONE OF YOUR BLEEPING BUSINESS.
And you, of course, wonder why the rest of the world doesn't appreciate your interference in their lives. Turn the tables around and see if this is the way that you would want to be treated by your neighbors or friends or anyone else.
Every religion has as it's most basic tenet respecting all others. Proselytizing has nothing, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with respecting others.

I truly believe one must live the life of a Christian as best we can...when people do this others notice..best advice I ever took was try to answer this question WWJD and live by it...the best compliment I ever had was at a funeral where I read Isaiha 41:10
and later the pastor thanked me and said one could see that you know the Lord...but then I have to say I sure hope the Lord knows me...then if someone asks about your life share it..God Bless

My mom is not a Christian, but kicking down doors and turning over shopping carts is not exactly going to make someone say, "You know, that person is right, I should be a Christian"

It's not up to you to save people. Just spread the gospel of Jesus.
Mark 6:11 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

Let's see if I got your question right.
You want to know how much effort people are willing to put into convincing other people to believe something for which they have absolutely no evidence whatsoever.
What arguments are they expected to present? Books from the Bible which it is unclear who wrote or when? Reports of talking shrubbery perhaps?
Just because you are suffering from delusions doesn't mean you have any right to try and force other more rational people to do the same.

Well, first of all we, as christians, have to agree that every person has his/her free will. Based on this, we have to throw the seed, and hope that it falls on good soil.
People is like the different terrains: rock, sand, bad soil and good soil. If the seed that we throw falls on rock, it will not prosper and will die. If the seed falls in sand, it will begin to grow, but it's roots will not grow and will die. In bad soil, it will not grow either. But, if the seed falls on good soil, it will indeed grow into a beautifull and tall tree with big roots that can never fall with the fierce winds.
We as christians must continue to throw the seed, so it can eventually land on good soil.

I talk to them about the goodness of Christ and share the thing God has done for me and what He've spoken to me, and I just try to be real with people, that I was in sin, and He has made me a new creature. That's how I know God exists. He changed, adn is still changing me.
