The heat comes from the bottom of an oven. Therefore...try moving the oven rack to the middle of the oven. Move the product away from the heat source. That should help... I hope. Good Luck!!!

Hey, I had the same problem like about 3 weeks ago. And the problem was, my oven rack was too low then the second time I had them on the rack that was too high. So A friend of mine came over and said that I should place one of the racks in the very middle. Luckily, I still cookie batter left to make more cookies. And so I tried it placing the rack in the middle and the cookies turned out soft in the inside crunchy on the outside.
So your best bet is to Place your Oven Rack in the Very middle. And believe me, your cookies will turn out great. So just to let you know, I know the exact same problem your dealing with.
Hope Your Cookies turn out Wonderful

You have to make sure to pre-heat the oven to make sure they don't cook only on the bottom.
Sometimes it's necessary to use a second cookie sheet--One turned upside down under the one you are cooking the cookies on. That spreads the heat without burning the bottoms of the cookies.
Merry Christmas
PS: See there, I'm not just another pretty face. LOL My wife taught me well.

Your heat is not even in your oven. It is hotter on the bottom than the top. Also, if your cookie sheet is old and is browner it will produce a cookie with a darker bottom. Use parchment paper on sheets when baking or replace the sheets.

Maybe the type of pan you're using??? It could also very well be your oven. I saw a big improvement on the way my new oven bakes. Perhaps you need to update your appliances or purchase a higher quality oven. Some are better known for cooking more evenly.

Try doubling up your cookie sheets, one on top of the other. I do this so they don't brown so fast on the bottom, giving them a chance to cook more on the top without burning the bottom of the cookie. But generally I don't mind a softer cookie. Good Luck!

Problem is either your oven or your placement of the rack and tray within it.

you will have to make the cookie dough balls bigger. they brown on the bottom because that is the side of the cookie that is closest to the heat rays. really, theres not much you can do about it.

raise the rack a notch or two... your oven isn't heating evenly, but moving up the rack will help.
