Yea. Someone who meant alot moved away. And now we think we might get into a relationship. So what's your opinion on long distance relationships?

Well my husband and I have been together almost 5 years now and have 2 children. When I first met him, he lived over 400 miles away. Everyone said it wouldn't last but we're married now and still head over heels in love with each other. Long distance relationships take a lot of hard work but if you're both commited then yes it has every chance of working out. The hard part is saying goodbye to each other and going home to an empty bed. I remember sitting alone some nights and crying my eyes out because I just wanted him to be there so badly. Expect huge phone bills too!! We'd spend about 4 hours talking on the phone at nights. We also had very lttle money because we were travelling an awful lot, usually every fortnight we'd try and see each other but it usually ended up a monthly thing. After a while we knew we really wanted to be together more than anything so I moved to his city and we haven't looked back. If you're both prepared to work hard and make sacrifices then go for it. What have you got to lose? Good luck x

They can be done but they are harder to maintain. Just the need of wanting that person with you and they are not there leaves alot of room for another person to step in and take up the slack. If you do get into one, it will not be sustained for long periods of time. This I know from experience.
