If you want to make an impression....YOU pay.
If she has more money than you do ....yes, she can pay.
If you like each other and money isn't an issue....pay for only your own.
If you just don't feel comfortable, get there early and have your own coffee in your hand and let her buy her own.

Maybe it's just me, but I feel that the guy should always pay UNLESS the girl was the one who asked him out or if she insists on paying.

well, i think it would be nice if you payed. but if she insists on paying, tell her that you guys can split it half and half. =)
