Hi, my kitten has 4 months now, since 2 weeks i noticed that everytime i start petting her, she lays down on her back, stretchs and starts looking for my finger to suck on it, like if she thinks that is its her moms titty. she does that for almost half an hour....
i dont know if she was taken away from her mom very early, when i m not there, i find her sometimes sucking on anything tender and start sleeping.
does anybody have an idea what it is??? and if it is normal for a 4 month kitten.
thanks a lot.

Sounds like your kitten was taken away from it's momma too soon. I have a 2 year old cat that I found when she was just a small ball of fluff. She'd been left outside in the hot sun and wandered off. She still nurses on my ear. I wake up to that a lot of mornings.

It's nothing to worry about. This is your kittens way of comforting itself. Your cat is perfectly normal.

Your Kitten is trying to find comfort that she had with her mom, and needs more love and attention. find her a soft cloth, chewtoy, for her, or just let her suck your fingers, at least she is not hurting anything

She probable likes the flavor of your arms.....or maybe she remains so youthful that she is using your arms purely like a infant could use a pacifier.....in basic terms for the sake of sucking.

yes, common, they just miss their mummy. so, let them suck your finger or get a cloth for her. she is emotionally in need.
