As long as your are traveling within the states you should be fine with not having your middle initial or name on your tickets. I would suggest if you are concerned to make sure that you have a couple of forms of ID to backup who you are just in case.

Hope this helps and have a great trip!

Your name as printed on the ticket should absolutely match the name on your passport. Otherwise, you are at the mercy of immigration. If you get somebody in a bad mood........ you know how that goes.. they can pick on you. In most cases, a middle initial or middle name isn't that big of a deal, but if you have a common name, it really should be complete and not cause any confusion when you are entering the country. The airline might not hassle you about it as much as immigration would.

Yes you do not need a middle name on the ticket at least not yet. Some people do not have middle names so what would they do?
I never give a middle name.

i did actually have this problem and my name is not common AT ALL. i had to wait for some manager type person to check it out but they let me through. so maybe that security officer was just being difficult. from then on, i always made sure the ticket matched the ID identically. i demanded my friend's ID when booking a trip for us and she thought i was just being anal. lol.

its not impossible. just unlikely.

it's really ok. middle initial or no. i've traveled extensively and never have had a problem. as long as it's a state id or government issued passport you're fine.

You will not have any problems. Bring another ID to make you feel more comfortable.
