I feel like a total pedophile! I'm 30 and she's 21, we hang out a lot and she's awesome. I wanna ask her out but I'm afraid she'll think I'm a creepy old man.

Please help, I really like her!

That's only 9 years! She is 21, so she's definitely not a minor, and age is just a state of mind. My parents are 20 years apart- that is a BIG age difference!

If she is mature and you really like her, then try to think about WHO she is, not how OLD she is.

it's not that big of a deal; you guys are only 9 years apart.
it's actually kind of a fad right now, dating younger women. really, it's always been in (back in the day, men married women as young as 15 when they were in their 40s).
another thing-- YOU'RE ONLY THIRTY! you're far from being a creepy old man. and at 21, she's a legal adult, so you have nothing to worry about.
Good Luck!

She most likely wont. I am in a situation like that. Except mine is a little worse. The guy I like is 26. And sadly I am only 17. But It's very doubtful that she will think you are 'a creepy old man'. You are only 30. It could be worse. You're only 9 years older than her. Go for it. Ask her out!
Good luck!

let me tell you something. what ive learned my first year of high school is that age aint nothin but a number. now dont do anything with her because your not married yet and you dont want to end up in jail. but anyway i was saying that when i first started high school there was this boy in my drama class that liked me and he was five years older than me. he was 18 and i was thirteen. but i didnt know at the time. even though we broke up i thought that we couldnt have something between us because of the fact of our age. but let me tell you. when we werent boyfriend and girlfriend anymore we used to play around alot with each other. hittin each other and slappin each other. and then hugging and making up. i mean if you saw us you would think we were lovers for life. but we werent. we were friends and even though distance is keeping us apart now it still brings alot of joy to my heart knowing i met someone like that. dont let her go because of age. explain to her briefly that you really like her and that you want you and her to be more than friends. but only if its okay with her. dont push to hard. you never know she could fall for you and you will fall for her and there could be some chemistry. follow your heart and enjoy the journey of a crush. its the way of life. tell her how you feel. dont force her to do anything she doesnt want to do. give her her space when she wants it and just let her know through emotion that you really care about her. if she seems cold then put your arms around her and make her feel warm. if she doesnt like it let go gently and dont pout. give her a chance and see where things go from there. good luck.
