By using antipyretics. You can take 650mg Tylenol every 4 hours as needed for elevated temperature. Aspirin is an even better antipyretic. Ibuprofen is not an antipyretic (it's an NSAID) and that is not what you need. If your temp goes up again, you can place ice packs at the armpits and groin. Take a tepid to cool shower or bath. Drink lots of water, it can be cold water if you're comfortable with that. But as you've said you feel cold inside, you may prefer to keep covered with an extra blanket but use a light cover instead. If your temp goes up to 103 or higher this is beyond what you can do deal with at home and you should be seen in an ER.

The fever is actually there for a reason. It helps your body fight infection. If it gets too high though it can be dangerous. You can alternate Tylenol and Ibuprofen every four hours. I know you feel cold, but a cool bath or cold cloths on pulse points can really help. Unless it makes you shiver really bad, which raises your body temp even more. Drink lots of fluids and if it doesn't pass or gets much worse then call your doc and make an appointment.
Do NOT cover up as much as possible and "sweat it out" this is a really outdated treatment and can actually raise your temperature dangerously high. If your fever gets over 104 you may want to go to the ER.

IF YOUR TEMP REACHES 104F OR CLOSE TO IT GO TO THE HOSPITAL ASAP!!!!
What ever u do DON'T bundle up in a lot of cover that will cause your fever to go up DON'T take a lot of different medicines that also could cause your fever to go what u SHOULD do is take your temp then take a hot shower if your temp isn't higher than 104F the shower should bring your temp down and also prepare u 4 the hospital if your temp goes up. once u are dressed take your temp again if it has gone take your medicine as scheduled once u have done this get a tall glass of your favorite drink (no soda)and drink lots of fluids u should began to feel better. even if u do feel better u should still take your temp on an hour to hour schedule. U could also take a nice warm bath and put a whole bottle of witch hazel in your bath water a soak this will stop any aches that u may have and bring your temp down as well
HEY these are just a few home remedies not cures for your symptoms and i am definitely not a Doctor or nurse they don't always work so if u don't feel any better CALL THE DOCTOR OR YOUR MOM !!!

Generally, if the fever is not causing a person to be uncomfortable, the fever itself need not be treated. It is not necessary to awaken an adult or child to treat a fever unless instructed to do so by your health care practitioner. If you wish to treat a fever, acetaminophen (Tylenol and others) can be used to lower a fever. The recommended pediatric dose can be suggested by the child's health care worker . Adults without liver disease or other health problems can take 1000 mg (two "extra strength" tablets) every 4-6 hours. Ibuprofen (Motrin/Advil) can also be used for fever in patients over 6 months of age. Again, discuss the best dose with your doctor. For adults, 400-600 mg (2-3 200 mg tablets) can be used every 6 hours. Aspirin should not be used for fever in children or adolescents. Aspirin use in children and adolescents during a viral illness (especially chicken pox and influenza) has been associated with "Reye Syndrome." Reye Syndrome is a dangerous illness which causes prolonged vomiting, confusion, and even coma and liver failure.
An individual with a fever should be kept comfortable and not overdressed. Overdressing can cause the temperature to go higher. Tepid water [85 degrees F (30.0 degrees C)] baths may help bring down a fever. Never sponge a child or an adult with alcohol; the alcohol fumes may be inhaled causing many problems.

For an adult that rates up there as a fever for sure. Take some Tylenol to bring it down. I take aspirin but lately people are not thrilled with it. It does work the best. Drink a lot of cool liquids. Fevers go up at night. Don't forget to call a doc if it goes any higher or you are feeling darn sick.

Fever itself is not a disease; it is a symptom of some underlying causes like infection, injury and metabolic disturbances. Paracetamol and Ibuprophen may reduce the temperature for the time being but if your fever is related with some infection, metabolic disturbances or any other underlying reason, you would need proper diagnosis of that underlying cause(s) and treatment. So, temporarily, you may take some analgesics like Paracetamol, Aspirin and Ibuprophen. However, take only one type of analgesic and in prescribed dose.
If your fever is more than 3 days older and/or you have some other health problems also at the same time like cough, burning urine, abdominal pain- you should resort to your doctor.
Wish you a healthy life.

Ibuprofin works the best because it keeps the fever down longer than say Tylenol. Also you can take a tepid bath. You may need to see a doctor if the fever persists as that may be the sign of a more serious infection in need of medication. Good Luck!

For how long u have it? Sounds like you have flu or serious infection or other cause. Take tylenol or aspirin or ibuprofen. Don't mix. Take just only one of them. Also if temperature doesn't get better and rises, see a doctor or ER if it really gets bad. Also I advise you to use www.webmd.com and don't sit too long on computer (unless you use laptop and you are in bed). You need to rest and warm yourself if you feel cold. The rest will help body to cure and so sleep.
Don't forget to drink a lot of water or other non or low-carbohydrated fluids (sugar is not good for infection).

If you have the flu, or some infection a fever around 101 is not considered high, although it can make you feel awful. Try motrin for fever, or advil. Sometimes it is good to allow your body to have the fever since your body raises the temperature to kill the germs. See if you can ride it out. I always do unless it skyrockets. Good luck and I hope you feel much better. Drink plenty of fluids since fever can make you dehydrated.
