RE :A question about car insurance....?
What if a guy parked his car in the parking lot and when he came back from what ever he was doing, his car was crashed
He have no idea who did it.
WIll his car insurance cover for the damage?
Update: Assuming there is no camera surveillance and there is no way he can track the guy who crashed his car.

If this guy had collision coverage AT THE TIME OF THE LOSS, his auto insurance carrier will pay for the related damage that is over this man's chosen collision deductible.
If this man found video footage of the culprit, he could give the information found to his insurance in hopes of somehow getting his deductible waived, either by going through the wrong-doer's insurance, Or by proving the wrong-doer was uninsured at the time of the loss. You would most likely need to succeed in locating the license plate of the wrong-doer and let the insurance company investigate him further.
Also, the only way to activate Uninsured Motorist Property Damage if the wrong-doer is confirmed to be uninsured, is to pay for UMPD coverage.
When you say this man's vehicle was "crashed" it would seem to be collision related. However if the damage appeared to be from a vandalism (the difference in damage is obvious), then this man would need to have Comprehensive coverage and the chosen deductible would still apply.

What kind of insurance does he have? Does he have collision insurance? or just liability? Does he have insurance that would cover a tree falling on the car or some other natural problem? That kind might pay for it. Liability would not.

Yes, it will be covered under either Uninsured Motorist Coverage or Collision Coverage, depending on your auto policy.
-Was a police report filed? Any witnesses? The insurance company will investigate thoroughly.
-If you have liability only on your policy then there will be no coverage. Call your insurance company immediately.

Each state( and company ) has their different rules on what they will cover... but usually as long you have full coverage they will repair it , minus your deductible. check though to see if it will also make your insurance increase as well..usually insurance companies wont cover it under your "uninsured motorist coverage" because in that case you have to be able to prove who did it and that they dont have insurance. hope that helps

If he has collision coverage his insurance will pay. His rates may be affected by the claim.
If he has Uninsured Motorist coverage, it will pay up to the coverage limits without affecting his rates. If you have UIM, you do not need to have collision coverage in this case.

you do not actual might want to purchase an coverage coverage; ensure with the state in which you storage the vehicles how a lot will be saved in an escrow account to self-insure (that's going to likely be the state minimum; everywhere fron $5000 to $a million million) good day, commence your own employer! i will come supply you the outcomes you want!
