It all depends on who ask, personally I wouldn't get offended because I think it's just a question but to women that are insecure of themselves will most likely get offended and women that are more confident about themselves wouldn't get offended. It also depends on how you ask the person, if you're rude about it then of course any body would get offended. It's just all the different perceptions that are perceived by an individual. So there is no right or wrong answer to this question because of course everybody is going to have a different opinion than others and so on. Hope that helps you out. Good Luck!!

I wouldn't be offended personally. If some do get offended, it might be because they take it as a masculine quality and think you are implying that she is too masculine. I can't think of why else that would be offensive.
