Why do people that speak out against illegal immigrants automatically get labeled and being a racist?

It's the 'fight or flight' syndrome. They don't want to leave their gravytrain (flight). So, they stay and try to 'fight' their losing battle. They are wrong, they know it and they are grasping at any straw they can find. They call us racists, lazy, inhumane, you name it. They don't have a leg to stand on. Like a child that has been reprimanded and punished they want to retaliate. They do it in the same childish manner,inappropriate name calling, making up falsehoods and imaginary stories.
We are not racist for wanting our laws enforced. We have every right to demand those illegals leave our country, since WE are the ones footing the bill for them to be here UNNECESSARILY.

Well, the problem is because you are confused with the words "racist" and "invading". Let me explain to you, racist is when you dislike people from their skin color, looks and of course race, religion, gender, etc. The word invading means exactly when an foreigner country decides in a war action to invade another country, like precisely what your country is doing in Iraq. What you don't want is people coming to your country in a illegal way. Why you are labeled as racist? Think a little bit, people in other countries are less fortunate that you, because they have the need to emigrate because they know what it is not to have nothing to eat for days, so poor, and their need is so great that they have to do something in order to survive. And they called you racist because you show a lack of compassion and respect for the human dignity of the people that take the decision to come to the U.S.,and they start a painful exodus which means to leave behind mothers, wives, friends, and children. Think that maybe we are alone in the universe and the planet is our only boat for all of us, so why to have borders if we are alone? Let your heart to have some pity, love, respect and compassion. And next time when you have some delicious strawberry or living in a nice house, it was touched before you by a illegal immigrant hand.

The reason is that the people calling you and others racist over illegal immigration have no justification for supporting illegal aliens entering our country illegally. Since they can't justify it, all they can do is call names. This has become the standard of politics. If you don't like someones politics, and you don't have a better idea, sling mud at them and call them names. and tell arizona a he could probably get all those things if he had a better attitude.

I wouldn't label someone as a racist for being against illegal immigration, (especially since everyone should be against illegal immigration and in favor of legal immigration) but when you treat Hispanic people with disrespect and judge them before knowing who they are and where they came from (not saying that you do, but people in general) then I will label them as being racist.

Why, you’re probably a racist and don’t even know it! Don’t trust your own instincts or those trying to coddle you. Stay out of that River in Egypt! Instead, trust those who have special ability to detect racism, such as the honorable governator of California, Arnold Schwarzenagger, who can shake your hand, look into your eyes and ‘sense’ the hatred of racism as you proclaim, “Stop the invasion!”
Trust the liberals who can’t define racism but they know it when they see it! Just give in, face the evil truth in your heart so that you can begin to be healed today and stop all this evil, racist talk about ‘halting the invasion’. Because alot of the organizations that protest illegal immigration are supported or funded by other white supremacy groups like skinheads and neo-Nazis. It's an unfair generalization but that's why they get labeled as being racist.

I would not say that you are racist because you oppose illegal immigrants. Why would I call you something that is plain vanilla when I can call you a communist or a idealistic ignoranus?
Yes, illegal is illegal and shooting someone is murder and running a stop light is a horrible crime. But wait, absolutes only exist in dictatorships and Fascist nations. Surely, they cannot exist in the land of the free. The mere thought of absolutes in the land of opportunity seems ludicrous. Yet, that is what I hear from the Yahoo Answers patriots. You don't want freedom. You don't want opportunity. You want communism. You want the government to give you jobs and to hold your hand. You want the government to protect you from the evil brown people. You are pathetic.

That doesn't make you racist. People often get confused. Illegal aliens are not a race. I guess they are a group? That would make one prejudice,not racist.
Illegal immigrants can be white, black, or tan.
You're not racist, just fed up...just like the rest of us.
(edit) just for the record, if American's want to refer to illegals as latin, I think it's justified. 80% of the illegal population is made up of Mexican citizens. That makes them 80% of the problem.

hi there this all things about immigrants just makes me throw up why can't we all just get alone as in united we stand what happened to that American soul within us all . god put us all here to live side by side yet many choice to be against immigrants even those that there family come from immigrants , our blood runs through Christ why not let peace be among us all . don't we have enough with the war our families members dieing over there and who knows what is waiting 4 us in the future all we can do is pray . don't we have em migrants in our churches courts etc.... chose freedom love not hate god bless

In the eyes of the illegal immigrants and liberals we are. It is only that they have no real good reason for being here, and breaking our laws. But we who love the U S A, and respect our country and our laws, will win out in the end. We will rid this country of illegal immigrants, there will be deportation, and no amnesty.
