You have to be more carful when opening the outside door. Try putting a few strips of double-sidded tape around your outside doors. She will not like the feeling and will hopefully stop going to the door.

You can't teach her. She'll keep trying. The only thing you can do is make sure she can't get out by being really careful about opening the door and making sure any open windows have screens.
Well, I guess you could let her out one day when it's raining like crazy. That puts some cats off, but it might not work.

If she has been outside more than 4 times or 3 times than she has gotten used to being outside and wants to go out more to play with bugs and explore the town/city sometimes she just wants to explore other backyards and sometimes people have outside cats and the cat thinks this one certain place is their and they own this certain property. They are just warning the other cat to get away and get off the property and when the other cat doesn't they attack the cat. My cat is like that and I can't get him to stay inside. GOOD LUCK!!

You might need to get a screen door. This also works, although she will not like it(but it's not cruel). Keep a water squirter bottle by the front door and when you leave or come in, if she tries and gets by you, give her a squirt or two. She won't like it, but she'll get the idea soon that you don't want her outside.

You can't teach her not to go. She wants to by instinct, especially if she is not spayed. But you can keep her entertained with the outside world safely through a screen door or window sill she can sit on, so she can peer out through a window..

Pick her up before you go to leave and hold her till you open the door then put her back inside, this will keep her from running out. or put her in another room or the basement before you go out, if she hasn't been spayed she'll want to get out to mate, and males and females DO fight some times when their mating and she could get hurt.... another thing also.......she may be going to have kittens in the near future now !!!!

Spay her and she won't really want to go outside so much, except to roll in the grass and stuff. It will probably cut down on any cat fights also!!!

Why would you not want your cat to go outside? How would you like to be confined inside your house and never allowed to step outside. After the animal abuse people find out about this, you may find out how the cat feels (confined to a jail cell).
Probably the best solution would be to get the cat fixed where she cannot have kittens, give her all her shots, and let her have her freedom.
