just be honest without being offensive, tell him that you don't feel the same toward him, and if he really likes you he has to respect want you want, tell him that some people are good to be together and other are not and that you are sorry for not being what he wanted. you can say to that is always better tell the truth because you don't want to make him believe something that is not true and get in his head fake illusions

Honesty is the way to go. You just have to find the words to make it as gentle as possible. I just had to do this, I had a guy give me a letter where I work asking me to a concert the next night. He wanted me to email him, so I did. I thanked him for the invitation, told him I was flattered but I didn't share his feelings, and that there is someone I am interested in and things are moving along with him. More than I had to tell him, but I felt like he should have the truth because I didn't want to hurt his feelings any more than I had to.

Tell him the TRUTH, meaning the fact that you don't feel the same way and that you would rather be friends. If this person likes you like you say, then they will understand you. I know it is really hard to reject someone, but that is the best thing to do. If you keep leading him on and not telling him, the outcome is going to be a lot worse. Tell him and be honest.

Just tell him nicely. Something along the lines of "I understand that you have feelings for me but I'm sorry to say that I don't feel the same way. I hope we can just be friends." Or something along those lines. Good luck!

No dont tell the truth then you'll hurt his feeling I suggest saying I already have a BF or if he asks you for a date say your busy If he asks again say your busy once again. he should catch on to what your implying. this way your not being rude but doing it in a more nice way.

i kow what you mean. it does seem mean to tell someone you don't like them back but it has to be said. if he comes on too thick then you should tell him just straight on. if you can't do that then a nice e-mail or text message might be ice. just be sure to get right to the point but do it in such a way that you can still be frineds at the end

Tell him you enjoy his company and that he's a good friend, but he's not the one you would like to start a serious relationship with. if he doesn't accept that tell him it's best if he would just leave you alone.
