The article makes valid points but misses the biggest one. If one believes Russia has nukes and one doesn't they can argue in the park until they are blue and nothing changes. If Russia fires one at the park and they have spend all their time arguing and not building a patriot system then what does it matter who was right? They are both dead. The one who was right would be better off starting on the patriot system even if the other one is mocking him..kind of like Noah's Arc. It's ok to believe different things as long as you don't whine when the truth is revealed.

I think faith in common ideals like peace and progress would be the first that leaders should come to agreement. Though religious leaders all come with good intentions, culture and dogma are too deep so I think it is virtually impossible to sort out all the mess that religion has created throughout history. So I think its best to start simple, to agree on broad ideals.

Unfortunately with institutional religion, masses of people are taught ideas as if they were the only things one needs to live life. The masses have faith in what they are taught and what they know. These ideas are caught up in people's cultures and identities. Some ideas are fundamentally contradictory and cannot be worked out between religions. (ex: must believe Jesus is savior/ Jesus is only a prophet)

If people use logic to work out problems to create peace and progress, in humanity and our society that's when I think we can begin to see change.

Faith in the truth and effective means. Not faith for its own sake.
You must be more specific.
Faith in what?
Depending on that answer you will get a legitimate response.
Faith cannot heal anything, only healing can heal. If you have faith in that which truly heals than healing will occur, and if you do not have faith in that which truly heals it will steal heal and you will be wrong.
As for my self, I have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, not faith in faith.
Faith is only as good as the object of that faith

faith is what's causing alot of world problems, people being fanatics and over faithful about their religion tend to reject other traditions, take a look at world conflict throughout history, alot were caused by 'faith'.

True faith is the most powerful medicament.
True faith is recognition of the Messenger of God for our time and observance of all His laws.

Faith in what? They say faith can move a mountain, but it's never happened. Not even an ant hill.

I believe that if everyone had faith & lived it, we would be living in a peaceful world.
