I need a good, cheap Champagne for New Years Eve that would appeal to women in their 20s. Any suggestions? I would not like to spend more than $30.00 per bottle.

i like mumm Napa's cuvee M with blue label. I work for a company that produces their labels and the winery said that the wine was made specifically for the 20 - 30 something crowd. It should cost around $15 in a nice wine store. here in napa it is everywhere. it is a nice peaches and cream type taste profile. when I work at events in the napa area we always run out.

domaine ste michelle from washington also makes some great sparkling.

Pity you are not in the UK as we have many supermarkets that are fiercely competing for our business and selling Champagne for £9.00 which is about $16. If you cannot afford Champagne why not try a Spanish CAVA Brut. It is sparkling and has some nice fruity flavours. Unless you are an expert on wine you cannot tell the difference. Invest in a bottle, if you can get it in America, to try it before serving it to your friends. We buy at about £4.00 which is about $7.
Have a wonderful Christmas you Americans and I wish you all the success in the New Year. We in the UK all hope that the Iraq problems resolve themselves and the awful loss of American and British lives stops.

Don't know US prices, but $30.- should buy a Veuve Cliquot non-vintage demi-sec. I say demi-sec. because it's not too dry and goes down a treat with people who aren't used to drinking champagne. Can you find Prosecco in your neck of the woods? It's not Champagne but it's a sparkling wine that hits the spot. Usually sold in a blue bottle. Wrap the bottle in a napkin before serving. No one will know the difference.

Hi,
You could buy for ca. 30 USD NV champagnes :
Billecart-Salmon,
Taittinger,
Veuve Clicquot,
Jacquart,
Henri Mandois
it depends on what you find in your shop
All the best

i imagine Friexenet (if it truly is the way you spell it) is pleasantly dry and perchance more desirable subtle than countless the different $10 bottlles. i'm actual no connoiseur (not in spelling both) though. Joshua
