No, but that'd be a goddamn quick way to end the Iraq conflict. In fact, maybe we should all petition the government to dip every other bomb and bullet in pig blood so as to strike fear in the radicalists. They would drop their weapons for fear of being sent to hell inadvertently ;P

NO. What a ridiculous concept! Pig's blood would add nothing to accuracy or effectiveness for either bullets or explosives. On the contrary, it would render them less useful and effective.

This is an urban legend generated by Islamic radicals to stir up the Muslims, who consider pigs to be unclean animals.

C-rations? we haven't used C-rations in 30 years. To answer the original question, dipping a bullet in any liquid does precisely nothing to improve its accuracy. Bullets travel at an extremely high velocity and any liquid would vaporize soon after the bullet leaves the barrel. This applies to bullets of any size. (.22 caliber to 16 inch battleship shells).

it is one of those myths that some fool starts and some fool spreads. Like rubbing garlic on bullets will cause blood poisoning on impact. Or rubbing lemon juice on your face makes it hard for a surveillance cameras to make out your face.

Myths like this pop up from time to time because some one says "Hey we should put pigs blood on bullets!"

its not true, never has been never will be.

Oh and if anyone wants to try the lemon juice on the face trick PLEASE post the results on youtube, I need a good laugh.

No, they are dipped in pigs blood because Muslins can not eat or have pig in any way shape or form.

No. They are in fact compressed pork left over from last year's c-rations. It's a secret, so don't tell anyone.

That possibility, in itself, would end the war in Iraq.
