I don't think you have it quite right... I believe that Donuts actually hatch from tiny, soft eggs that some people call raisins. When they hatch they are tiny, perfectly formed donuts, sometimes called Cheerios from the dead language "Jictuaskj" meaning wheel or round life.
These days they are incubated in boxes at room temperature, in grocery stores until they are of sufficient age that they can be set free to become donuts they were meant to be in the confines of the bakery.
Thank you for your question, if there are any other origin of species questions I can help you with, feel free to ask

Donuts do not come from seeds. Cheerios grew from some other source. The probably evolved from fruit loops.

The evolution of cheerios is very complicated. It all began with a single fruit loop. This fruit loop was in a horrific milk accident and was soon left an odd brownish colour. He went on to have children, which grew up to be little fruit loop deformities, and then suddenly, we had our very first box of cheerios!

I don't think so. I planted some along with some bird seeds when I was a kid and none of them have come up yet. I hate to think how much of my allowance I spent on Miracle Grow when all that was going on,drat!
