Scholarships all have requirements and not all are about a 4.0 GPA. Many in fact know that people with high GPA's will get other scholarships and choose to give to people with 2.5 or above. Many are also more interested in helping people based on income. So apply for as many as you are qualified for. Right the essays like everyone else..... and don't expect it to land in your lap without doing the work to get there.
fastweb.com is a good website to sign up with. They do a lot of advertising to support the site, but have a ton of scholarships listed from different groups and companies.
Best Wishes,
Sue

Apply for all the scholarships that you are wanting to get and then do extra ... Volunteer at a nursing home,,, help at a soup kitchen,,, these are look great for the scholarship committees to see on an application.
You will also need reference letters from your Teachers, Principle, Leaders in your Community (Mayor, Bankers, and Etc..).
You should have no problems getting a scholarship.
Best of luck to you.

Yea, you and the rest of the world. 3.8 is not amazing. I doubt you'll receive any scholarships for it. You can try the good old-fashioned writing essays for scholarships. Someone mentioned fastweb.com. That's a good start.

Contact the schools you want to go to.
They will definitely get you an academic scholarship, and will also let you know how to apply for other scholarships.

If any colleges or schools go for a visit to your school ask them questions or tell them your story. Or apply for the gates millenium scholarship...
