Is it good? And where did you find it? What's the brand you had?

I just made two gallons of pomegranate wine from freshly squeezed juice. Making the juice was a mess from all those seeds...it looked as if I'd murdered somebody in my kitchen.

It's very dry and a bit tart. It has a little bit of a musty smell to it, but it's not too bad. I added a drop of grenadine to the sample I took and it took on a mellower, almost cider-y taste. Not bad otherwise.

Unfortunately, I haven't had any commercially made pomegranate wine to compare it to. However, comparing it to pomegranate juice (such as POM) would be about as accurate as comparing wine to Welch's grape juice.

I just recently have heard of this and it sounds great. If you haven't tried it yet I would first suggest that you try drinking a little of POM pommegranite juice first. It's very good but is an aquiered taste and I personally think it has a very slite grainy texture to it. Yes I said Grainy!
