The law is Keep Right Except to Pass.If I'm doing 80 mph in the left lane and someone comes up behind me,I'm more then happy to let them by.I won't be happy until we have a mandatory driving competency test.16 or 80 if you can't pass it, your taking mass transit.Sick and tired of arssholes in dangering everyone on the Highways.BECAUSE YOUR NOT COMPETENT ENOUGH TO DRIVE!

For every action, there is a reaction. A simple law of physics. For each driver that pushes their way into a congested lane, the ensuing reaction is that all those behind now need to slow and re-establish a following distance. This reaction progresses back down the lane for a bit, and as someone else slows to do so there is inevitably another pushing in. And then, there is the idiot on the phone who isn't paying any attention what-so-ever to their driving speed.

1st of all Tony ... chill out!
I am a "slow" driver (55 MPH in a 55 zone, 65 MPH in a 65 zone, etc). Having admitted that I'll now tell you that the only times you will find me in the left lane are, on the rare occasions that I find someone slower than I am, and when I'm making a left turn.
Call me crazy, but I actually leave home in plenty of time to get where I am going, and don't intentionally p*** off other drivers! I have plenty of bad habits, but on the road I try to keep it legal and nice.
Questions: To the slow left lane drivers ... How do you know the faster traffic is all sane?
Stay right and let them pass, the few seconds of enjoyment you get p***ing off faster traffic will someday be negated by a bumper jammed up your backside compliments of someone who missed their meds!
Faster than the speed limit drivers ....Where's the fire?
Sure your car can do 70 in a 55, it can probably do 90 ... maybe even 100 MPH. Wouldn't it be better to leave a little earlier, drive close to the limit (say ... 60 in a 55?) My truck is able to do 90 ... but I don't have anything to prove, and I hate giving more money to the state than I have to (speeding tickets, etc)
I believe that if you are not in the right lane and someone is coming up from behind you, going faster than you are ... it is in your best interest to move over ASAP! Sure, I'm doing the right and legal thing by obeying the speed limit law, but until someone puts a badge on me and issues me a ticket book and Crown Vic, it ain't my job to police the roadway. Everyone should use consideration and common sense in the road, drive the way you are comfortable, but don't try to push your driving methods on others!

There is no such thing as FAST LANE or Slow Lane.
We made lanes because of heavy traffic....
Los Angeles need to wide their interstate and put more lanes
so that nobody can get stuck in the traffic jam.
The law said we have to go 65 mph, whatever the speed limit is.
Why are you in such as hurry?
Do you be late for work or what? If so, why don't you get up 30 minutes earlier than you usually wake up?
You better not speeding fast just to go to Mickey D's or Tacobell...
Nobody should die just so you can get a $3 cheeseburger!!!!

I totally agree with u. regardless if one is going over speed limit or not. just get ur slow *** over & that way u dont have to be involved in the accident that we may cause. slow jerks are the ones that cause traffic. If everyone got into the lane that's meant for their speed, it would be an even flow. Duh. Maybe they are not from this country & really dont understand the driving laws. Where they from, all they drove were motorbikes down dirt roads!

I'd suggest you put your road rage in check before getting behind the wheel. If you did such a thing you would be cited for leaving the scene of an accident, among other things. Just drive the speed limit and go with the flow of traffic. You'll be better off.

I don't drive like you describe, but you have a serious case of road range. You should see a therapist to deal with your anger problems.
I hope that when you "slam your car" into one of these slow drivers that you (a) don't kill anyone and (b) a highway patrol officer or trooper sees the whole thing happen and tosses your angry butt into jail to cool off for a few weeks. People with attitudes like you should not be allowed to drive. Period.
If you can't control your anger, your privilege (it's not a 'right') to drive a 2-ton hunk of steel should be revoked.

Agree with you 100%, and even if they see everyone else has to pass him for the right lane they don't bother to move or even go a little faster!
