I think in cases of rape, where a young girl is forced to carry a child, an abortion may be a viable solution. However, I am against abortion in general. It would depend on the girl's emotional state - if she can have a baby and give it up for adoption, great! But if carrying her father's child for 9 months causes an emotional breakdown of any kind, or rejection by the family/community, then it's kinder to remove that trial from the poor girl.

Pro-lifers are all about protecting the "babies". Well, I say this is a case where everybody wins. This little girl should be allowed an abortion. And guess what, the "child" was protected. At 13 a girl can hardly not be considered a child, and no child should be forced to give birth to her father's baby. No, it is not the fetus's fault, but it is not hers either, and she should not be punished because of her father's horrible behavior. It is not my place, your place, or anyone else's place to judge this child for reacting to a situation she could not prevent. Sometimes adults, people who can live in this world outside the womb of their mother die because of a choice someone else makes, but I'm sorry in this situation I have to say, it's tough luck, sh!t happens.

Less than 1% of abortions are performed on victims of rape.

However, two wrongs never make a right. The defenseless unborn human being has the same human dignity and is entitled to the same human rights as its mother.

Most people would consider this girl a hero if she carried the baby to term and then gave it up for adoption.

The young woman would bring something wonderful out of her abuse, the baby would have life and a loving family, and the adoptive parents would have the child that have longed for.

With love in Christ.

sure some hundred women people could nevertheless hotel to decrease back-alley coathanger abortions. yet a minimum of that form of girls people presently die from the outcomes of "risk-free criminal" abortions, and an excellent form of hundreds greater go through lasting actual and psychological trauma. additionally, a million or greater toddlers consistent with 12 months may be stored from brutal slaughter. Do you besides mght recommend legalizing theft? how that's now, thieves could sneak around carrying weapons, and are on the mercy of meant sufferers who would shoot decrease back. Why no longer make theft risk-free and criminal, so people who desire to do it somewhat isn't any longer at such tremendous possibility?

Sin or not a sin is not the question...to me the question is, is it safe for that young girl to carry a baby to term? The sin to me is on the father and the government...not the girl, no matter what her decision. Sooooo glad I live in the USA!

she should have taken a morning after pill, these are usually given to rape patients immed. after rape - they prevent the egg from attatching to the uterus or something- i do not agree with abortions for birth control, but for the child (13) i would understand if she wanted to have an abortion, she was not being irresponsible, theres more than one innocent person involved, the girl that was raped is a child herself, i dont think shes really ready to make a decision on abortion but i dont think it would be healthy for her to have a child and give it up for adoption or even try to keep the child - this is something that no one can answer except the child herself - and no one should even judge her on what decision she would make -

Murder is still murder, regardless of how the baby's life began. Rather than destroy the life of a second, innocent child, a better solution would be to have the baby put up for adoption. There are people waiting for years to be able to adopt because there are not enough available people.

I know this scenario and others much like it have been the poster children in favor of abortion on demand, but we all know that the overwhelming majority of abortions are for convenience.

For this reason, these babies must not be aborted. It becomes a slippery slope of "what is a good enough reason" and that's completely subjective.

Yes, I believe it's a sin. My human mind says that if I was the 13yr old girl I might seek an abortion too. The father is a creep and doesn't deserve the be called a father!
