I really want to learn a scandinavian because I am obsessed with scandinavia. Anyway, I know that Norway is supposed to be more beautiful than Sweden, but Sweden has a greater population. Which language should I learn?

Learn swedish so you can speak to all the beautiful Swedish girls. Stockholm is the capital of Scandinavia! Welcome to Sweden!

Learn swedish. It's cooler. Sweden has got a greater population(as you wrote) and we've got a more beautiful country. If you learn swedish you will know what smorgosboards(I don't know how you guys spell it) and ex. Rosenbergs ´´true meanings´´ are. Or you could just learn both! The norwegian and the swedish language are so alike that I don't think it should be any harder. You really shouldn't ask us from Sweden nor the ones from Norway because we will probably just pick our own country.

Swedish is a more "useful" language. There's more speakers and the country is more connected to other countries, especially the US. There's also more material for learning Swedish available than Norwegian.

However, they are so similar that is hardly makes a difference. If you know one of them, it should take no more than a week to learn the other.

I am Norwegian, I think you should learn this language. As far as beautiful countries, Norway rules. There is no other place that compares.

i think both are mutually intelligable to a degree ( meaning speakers of norwegian can understand swedish speakers and vice versa).
