There is a lot of greediness in the world today because there is a lot of emptiness inside us. The more empty we feel within us, the more we want to fill it and we try to fill it with the external. But in reality the more we get the more empty we feel and the more we want . The vicious cycle goes on......
It's difficult to find happiness within, but it's not possible to find it outside.

Because you can get stuff cheaper from other countries. I think corporate greed is the worst with so many people losing their jobs due to outsourcing. I really hate the way things have turned out with this free trade crap. It really upsets me a lot and then seeing that a court ruled today that Exxon doesn't have to cough up $5 billion dollars to the people that was affected by the Exxon Valdez accident. That really upsets me and they made 36.1 billion dollars last year after raising gas prices.
OH corporate America you suck. You've done things to people that even Jesus can't forgive.
But that's just my opinion.

I think parents nowdays are partly to blame. i know when i was growing up if i wanted something I had to buy it myself buy working for it. When I was to young to get a job I got an allowance but only if i worked around the house. I chopped wood and mowed the yard all the time.
now parents are spoiling there kids rotten and not punishing them at all. What the hell is "time out" good for. Get a belt and beat there *** like when we were growing up. Kids are growing up thinking that everything is handed to them on a silver platter and they don't have to work so they are getting greedy.

Most people are not taught the idea of need vs. want. They all think everything they want is something they need. They also think that they are the most important person in the world.
People also havn't been taught the idea of caring for others. Agian, most people could care less about the stranger standing next to them.
This is a sad story. Our grandparents were raised with morals. They just forgot to pass it on to our parents, and due to our parents never learning morals, they couldn't teach us.

Because we have become a society who craves material items. So easy to buy things on credit cards. We used have to work really hard, growing and planting and working the land. It taught us respect. Now, everything comes so easy. We want and want. We also have lost a lot of our spiritual lives, less and less of us are going to church and many of us don't even believe in God. I am not saying we should be religious but seems we used to be more caring when we were more spiritual :)

It's not that there's more greediness today, it's just that there's better media to publicize it.

Money talks....can't really get through life without it in today's society.
The more you have, the more you want....never truly satisfied.
