A big part of long-term weight loss is consistency and you must have a plan. Exercise is vital along with a nutritious diet. Also, try to visualize the shape you want and lock that image - this is so important because the interaction between brain & body is huge.
Being muscular is is great, as this will help you burn the calories while resting (build the quads - largest muscle in body - to really boost calorie burning). If you like sweets, fatty foods, Ect., limit intake to once a week. As you limit them, you'll find your desire to eat them decreases. Best to you!

First off check to see if there's a medical reason why you can't lose weight. This was the case with me. I have hypothyroidism and PCOS with insulin resistance. All you have to do to test for these conditions is to have a morning fasting blood test for glucose, insulin, TSH, free t4, and free t3.
If the above tests are negative, then drink water instead of soda and try to reduce carbs such as breads, rice, noodles, muffins, cakes. These carbs turn to sugar in the body making weight loss difficult.
You say your build is muscular. Muscle burns more calories than fat. I'd use weights to tone and build more muscle and you'll appear smaller. Don't go for a number on the scale, try for a pant size.

well first you have to realize you cannot change your genetics. but here are a few tips: 1) find out you body fat percentage, this will help you determine how much weight you can lose.
2) calculate you body mass index, this will help you figure out how many calories you need to cut out each day to lose weight.
3) go on a sensible, balanced diet. high in protein low in carbs and high in fiber.
4) do cardio exercise about 4-5 times a week for a half an hour each session.
5) get yourself a thermogenic supplement if you can handle stimulants. My suggestion is hydroxycut hardcore.

Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don't need to know the whole science of glycemic load. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin and healthy. Find out about fastest way to lose weight, most effective exercise, good and bad carbs, water retention and secret trick used by models to flatten their tummy before an event.
Reading a book will take you hours but the information on a post, taking minutes to read, is not enough. The webpage below has just enough to know what you need to know. Links page has gov. BMI calculater to find out just how much overweight you are (teens plug in your age to compare to others your age). Most important-- make sure to read the last "fat loss tip", first before anything else, to see the number one food that causes Americans to be fat.

well you probley already know muscle weighs twice as much as fast, so your doing good if you remain the same weight because your losing twice the fat as you gain a bit of muscle...like a 2:1 ratio. Weigh yourself every monday or friday at the same time everyweek and change your workout around everyday....run run run! but life light weight alot of reps at the same time, theirs just so much to tell for this type of thing so if any other questions courbsh12@yahoo.com
