It doesn't make sense. We could still reproduce without love. Bugs, for example, don't form loving bonds yet they mate for the sole purpose of keeping their species going. It's instinct. Love is not an instinct, we can feel it because we have a higher mental capacity. Chemical stuff aside, we love because we have evolved to live with other people. If we didn't live with others, our species might have gone extinct. 1 person couldn't build a shelter to escape the ice age, but 100 people could. We also depend on other people for companionship. Without someone to love you become lonely, depressed, and statistically, you live a shorter life. Psychologically speaking, Jung said love is a projection of yourself onto someone else. You love them because they reflect some of the qualities you like about yourself. Other than self fulfillment, I don't think it has any other purpose.

OK, in a biblical form, we have been made in god's image, and he loves us, that's why we feel love toward others... love is a feeling like the air, you know the air exist, but you cant touch it even when you know its real, and it serves a purpose, its the same with love is abstract.... imagine a world without love, its already messed up for the lack of it... so how do you think it will be without it at all?

It's in our nature. We are meant to be together. Look at nature, specifically at mammels as we are. They gather in herds and look out for each other. We grow lonely if we isolate ourselves, so it's purpose is to keep us in line with our nature.

it's just our human nature don't you think? because if we are not attach to other men/women then we would never get married or have any children. well you could adopt but what if you don't want to adopt? it all depends on you, it's your choice no one is pushing you to do it. I hope I was helpful to ya!
