You have nailed it right on on what the Koran has to say thought it is Politically Incorrect to speak against the Koran but ok im a Christian not a Muslim, I do however have a copy of The Koran and some of what is in there is absolutely shocking.
Of course one will argue that some Muslims are peaceful so there is no way the Koran can teach Violence and hate.
Well it is true that some Muslims are peaceful, it is also true that some Muslims have not actually read the entire Koran.
Some peaceful Muslims believe that Christians and Jews are fellow believers while many of the violent fanatical Muslims call for death to Christians and Jews.

In short, no the Quran doesn't teach people to hate.
I took a Quran class when I studied Islam back in the late 90s and it's a very interesting book. I was taught that the best thing to do is read something called a "tafsir" which is like a companion to the Quran. Basically the tafsir breaks down each topic in each book of the Quran by explaining the context. It's very cool. Basically when you look at a tafsir the book looks like this:
10.6 And Allah says to him, "Strike fear from your breast and call unto me". (Allah tells Abraham not to be prideful in the face of tragedy and to humble himself before the Creator).
Now that's not really in the Quran. I just made it up to illustrate my point.
Having said that, many of the seemingly cruel things in the Quran are different when you understand the context or you have all the facts. For instance, there is no separate death penalty for women. Men and women are punished the same in Islamic Law. It's certain cultural Muslims who decided to throw in their backwards mentality into things by persecuted women and letting men walk free.
Some cultural/backwards Muslims claim that when a woman is raped, she has to produce four witnesses to prove it. That's not what Islam says, but as with any other religion, Muslims do not all abide by their religion. In fact, I venture to say that most Muslims do not follow Islam to the best of their ability.
In Islam, people can only be Superior by their piety. That's it. Islam does make it clear that men and women are physically and emotionally different. But one is not better than the other. They just have different functions. Looking at the way many of these Muslims act, you'd never guess Islam says that, but it's true. I'm glad I studied Islam before I met Muslims and before extremism became more mainstream, or otherwise I'd probably hate Islam! I'm not immune from judging a faith by it's maniacs, but with Islam I got "lucky".
Anyways, try looking up the items by a man called Hamza Yusuf. I have met him and spoken with him on a few occasions and he is a very kind, spiritual, and deep man. He explains Islam very easily and gently, but he does not hide or sugar coat things.
Anyway, I hope that helps.

Your question seems to be: WHY does the Qu'ran teach hate?
Why does any mythology lash out at those who see through it and challenge it's hold over its acolytes and slaves? These acolytes don't like those who would puncture their balloon. The more likely the person is to deflate the balloon, the more hate is directed his way as a deterrent. The more ridiculous the assumptions holding up the balloon, the more hate is needed to hold off those able to puncture it.

I'm sure it can be interperted that way.
But, so can the Bible.
Taking one interpertation of it and applying it globaly is silly. I find parts of the Bible fairly crude, but that doesn't mean all Christians are.
There are plenty of good Christians, no matter how you choose to interpert the BIble.
There are plenty of good Muslims, no matter how you choose to interpert the Qu'ran.

islam, judaism, and christianity all teach that there is one God and you must obey him if you want to live and be truly free. you must surrender your will to his will. in 2007 all the way God's way. The Qur'an teaches love not hate. God loves us and he wants us to show we love him, by loving each other the way he loves us. Obey God love each other. We are all equal if you believe in God.
