i am totally new here...i have no friends in this area. Relatives are not friends. I want to make new friends preferably females.

Well if you really are serious i suggest u try to be nice. Well if u want females be a smooth talker, stand up tall, chin up, and act tough. dont be afraid of talking 2 new people. it never hurts 2 try------------------------------------------u could do that or just drop down and give sucky sucky

Be very careful on how you go about making friends in New York.It is a very different world there and there is no room for the weak or the naive.If you really want to make friends, let them come to you and weed through the rubble.There are so many mentally ill people in New York and so many manipulative people that it would almost be impossible to make a friend,an acquaintance maybe but friend is a four letter word.

Join a group. A social group. Maybe on something you wish to know or something that you need to work on in your personal life. Usually the same people show up every week and they all plan on returning this gives you a place to let your nerves run wild and begin to slowly be known by the people you are surrounded by and then you will eventually see walls come down and start getting the attention you need.

Ur not spoiled. U seem to know ur blessed which is refreshing. On that note, ur parents r over-indulging u. No one needs a new pair of shoes every week. No one needs 3 phones either. I'm glad u get grades and lead a good life, but consider the ppl who r less fortunate. Is it possible that u can skip a month of shoes and ask ur parents to donate the money to a shelter instead? U would be truly blessed then. :-)

Craigslist is a great resource in NYC- be wary, but open minded at the same time. NY is a hard place to meet people but EVERYONE feels that way so going online is perfectly respectable.

Go to a nearby church. I bet there are a number of friendly ppl in there than the street or a pub. If you are the socialite type just head your self to the nearest club. Check the phone directory. Good Luck!.
