Parakeet birds. I have two of them. They're awesome. I've learned more about human nature by watching my birds than I have by being a human. I notice a lot about how they do things to help each other and how they get grumpy and just want to be left alone and such, other times they get hyper and playful. Right now they're both standing on one leg trying to sleep, listening to Jonah33 "Faith Like That" on my computer.
Second and third choices: Penguins and turtles.
