Yes, this is normal, but it's not a good idea! As soon as she is out of heat do yourself and your sweet kitty a BIG favor and have her spayed. This is very important! We have too many animals in this world, more than we have people willing to take care of them!! They kill thousands EVERY EVERY day because they don't have a home to go to or loving people to take care of them. Please do the right thing and have her spayed and soon. I am glad you are an animal lover, we need more people like you in this world. Oh, I didn't see the second part of your question, If you can't spay her right away, keep her in the house!! There are clinics that will do the surgery for little or no money so get it done asap, You'll be doing her a BIG favor.

Yes, this is very normal. Most vets recommend having the cat spayed at about that age. Alot of vets will recommend waiting until the heat is over to spay her, but some will do it anyway, for a little extra $$. Somehow it's a more difficult operation. Anyway, keep her in. And get her spayed as soon as possible. Most cities have spay/neuter subsidy programs if you cannot afford it. Please look into, there are far too many animals dying every year.

It is normal for a female cat to go into heat at less than 6 months, so yes...she could very well be in heat. The sooner you have her spayed the better or you will have a bigger problem...kittens. She will attempt to get outside, and even if she does not succeed in that...male toms will come around where you live and caterwhaul (howl and yowl to get to her). So, I suggest you have her spayed asap. There are programs through the humane society that will help with spaying costs sometimes, check into it.

Yes this is normal.

Keep her inside while she is in heat. When my cat use to go in heat, she like to have her belly rubbed softly. Also a heating pad on low is somthing else my kitty enjoyed.

Get her spayed as soon as possible. If you can't afford it, call the Humane Society. They usually have or know about programs to help out on the cost.

You should wait till she is out of her heat cycle to get her fixed though. As stated before in a previous post, some vets will spay a cat in heat, but it is a higher risk. The risk is not worth it. Just wait till she is done.

Yes, she could be in heat at around four months. That would be a little unusual but possible. Make sure she stays inside for one, and call your vet to schedule a spay as soon as possible. Generally 6 months is given as the spay/neuter surgery time because kittens can't handle surgery before then.

Yes 6 months is the age when cats go into heat for the first time.My cat is pregnant and due any day soon.It depends whether you want her to have kittens or not and be a mother at a young age.You have t have responsibility and if you don't have that or don't want kittens get her spayed,it is your choice :)

There are breeds of cats who go into heat as early as four months actually, it is perfectly normal for a cat to be going into heat at 6 months. To stop it you just have to spay her, and you dont have to do that right away.

the correct answer is yes....it is very normal for a 6 month old kitty to be in heat at 6 months and for the owner it can be a real pain in the a**. they will do anything to get laid. they scream and yell and try to go thru glass windows. that is why i chose to have my kitten spayed when she was 4 months old. i didn't want to deal with all that nor did i want a litter of kittens.
don't get me wrong.....i love animals
i hope this helps you and hey, have a happy holiday, ok???

yes this is normal. Cats go into heat for the first time around 6-8 months. Once she is out of heat you can get her fixed. Keep her in the house and don't let her near any male cats.

It is entirely normal. The best thing to do is to take her to the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) or the Humane Society for low-cost spaying and shots.

Otherwise, she will keep going into heat and will drive you nuts. Good luck!
