I have a boyfriend, who has a disability, and once a month goes through a phase where he doesn't like to talk to anyone, will not answer the phone when I call or his door when I knock. I love him, I know he loves me, well I think he does, he never says so. But, I would still like to take care of him, be his friend. I don't have many friends in this town, he is my bestfirend. We are into the same things together.

I need an outside opinion, it all depends on if I take it. But, he is taking medication for his disability. I know what my family thinks, they like him, but of course they never liked any of my boyfriends before.

There's no love when you're looking to bail out because of a disability. If you ever get married ask the preacer if you can skip the vow "IN sickness and in Health".

You could have a break with your boyfriend. Staying out of each other's world for one months or more, and meeting with him again after that. He and you will realize how much you guys love and need each other more, and what you guys need to do for your futures. You could decide whether you would like to break up with your boyfriend or not having your time. Follow your heart.

You are not sure that he loves you, after been each other for 3 years?
This is your life too, regardless he has disability or not. Stay with him only of you both love each other. He is not your responsibility and if you stay w him cos you pity him, you are actually hurting him and mostly, yourself.
