i just bought a new samsung 931BW 19 inch lcd cpu monitor, it didnt come with a dvi cable, it only came with an analog cable.

My question is, is there a significant difference between the 15 or what ever blue cable analog connection versus the dvi white plug in type digital feed dvi input cable?

Depends on what type of video card you have and whether your monitor support digital DVI or not.
DVI can be both analog and digital. Most of the benefits are with a digital DVI, since you bypass all digital to analog to digital and you go digital to digital.
So unless both the monitor and your PC support digital DVI , your VGA cable is good.
