your nose is made of cartilage. it wil be a big stinging pinch liek any other piercings. i have my navel and 3 cartiulage piercings as well as 4 ober piercings. the cartilag epierings have always been the worst. but your ose is made of cartilage so it must feel the same....

please go and get the cartilage piercings done professionally and not at a shotty store liek claires in the malll..... get it done by a professional with the needle

they also shouldnt use a clamp on your cartilage. there is noo need to. and when you get it done just stivk to the aftercare pierce solution and sea salt soaks THATS IT !

NOT rubbing alcohol, bactine, hydrogen peroxide, or neosporin or any oither ointments. these are all harmful for piercings. the oinments can increase the risk for infections and everythign else as well as the pintmes cause unecessary healing times and irritation

only sea salt soaks and aftercare pierce solution ONLY.

Well considering I have my cartilage AND nose pierced, I think I can make a statement on this one. I got my nose pierced with a gun (very shady, always get it done with a needle) and it hurt like all piercings, but it wasn't too bad. When I got my cartilage done the piercer used a needle (which is more sanitary and safer) and he had to clamp my ear open. It hurt like CRAP, seriously the worst pain. Now, even though I clean it every day, my cartilage is infected. So basically, the cartilage hurt a lot more than my nose and if I had to redo it, I wouldn't get it pierced.

Uh - your nose IS cartilege. Pain hasn't got anything to do with cartilege - it has to do with the skin over the cartilege, and the relative number of nerve endings in the various locations. Your nose is a lot more sensitive than your earlobes because of all the nerve endings there - your ears simply don't need them.

If you're thinking about getting your septum (spot between you nostrils on your nose done), then my husband wanted me to tell you something. He was a body piercer for years and he says that at least 75% of people who have this done vomit just because of the sound that it makes (This includes large biker types). It is also extremely painful, more so than ears, nostrils etc. Hope that helps, he and I both wish you luck!

nose hurts way worse, i had it done a few years ago. your face has way more nerve endings than your ears or bellybutton, so thats why it hurts more.
