If you are asking about the white half circles on your finger nails, I have always thought they are your new fingernails growing almost like your layers of skin. Otherwise, people say they are how many past lives you have lived and if you have all 10 of them you are in your final life. No more reincarnations.

some people get white marks across the middle of the nail..i hear from lack of calcium

well i have a few tiny marks on my fingernails but they are not the white semi circles.. i always get them and someone told me that the more you have, the luckier you are. lol i don't know if that's true.

You can get Beaus lines after a serious illness, they run perpendicular and look like a grove.
Vertical lines in your nails can indicate cardiac problems
