I'm 14 and I want to have sex with my boyfriend. What type of condom (lubricated, ribbed, etc.) would be best for having sex the 1st time? And another thing, how badly does it hurt for girls when they lose their virginity?

Hey,

Same position as you, only I'm 20. I'm not going to try to talk you out of this because you seem like you have your head on straight. I might still be a virgin, but given I've had this status for so long I've done a lot of listening so when I'm ready I'll be ready. As for condoms use latex that has a spermacide on it and then buy some water based lubricant (thats really important, you want to be well lubricated or it will hurt more than it needs to). Sadly chances are your first time wont be enjoyable... some girls hurt, some girls dont... but even if you dont its not going to be the experience that movies and magazines crack it up to be... in time it probably will be, but your first time probably not.

Even though I said I wasnt going to try to talk you out of this I do want to give you some advice. You need to know having sex with your boyfriend will not make him love you more, or make him stay with you...chances are he wont be the one you marry and throwing sex into the mix makes things even more emotional as I promise you heart break is the worst experience you will ever experience. That being said if you really love him and you want to do this, do it. But please talk to a doctor about maybe going on the pill... because condoms are not 100% effective, nor is the pill... but in combination they greatly reduce your chance of pregnancy.

Take Care and stay safe!

14!!!! Are you sure this is something you want to do? Does this guy love you? Ok, I am just being worried about you because I dont want you to be hurt by sleeping with some guy who might leave you. That said, If you are having sex for the first time, it is going to hurt. Some girls it hurts a lot, and some not as much, but it still hurts. You need to be well aroused and wet so you definitely need to use a lubricated condom. Have your boyfriend give you a lot of foreplay (kissing, etc.) to make sure you are ready. Has your boyfriend had sex before? If not, he may not last very long. I would save the twisted, ribbed, studded condoms for later.

Sweetheart, you have a good head in your shoulders, very few girls have the smarts to wear a condom and proceate the next generation of carjackers and murders. Cupcakes, you will bleed and will sting for a while, go slowly till you can fit all in there. Best position for virgins is the one who goes on top while your boyfriend in laying down. Ribbed condoms are mostly for the pleasure of a woman since it rubs against your inner vagina while friction. Lubricated condoms are for the pleasure of your boyfriends. Good lucks pumkin.

I would not use a ribbed condom… that is going to irritate you more. Smooth would be better. Also Trojan makes a condom that's designed

As for the pain each woman is different but it's fair to say that the first time it's going to be painful.

ok, lubricated... get durex, if its ur first time, it hurts a bit, but it isnt bad at all, make sure to have a good foreplay, you have to be well lubricated so that t doesnt hurt and it slides easily, just be careful if it breaks u should knwo there are pills that help you not to get pregnant that you can take the same day it happens or the next day... also make sure no one catches u especially ur mom....

Any lubricated latex condom will work. (Durex is far better)
Whatever you do, do not use a polyurethane or lambskin, they are thinner and can easily break. Latex condoms reduce the risk of contracting genital herpes, syphilis, chancroid and the human papillomavirus (HPV).

Use the one that suits you best, even the cheapest will serve the purpose.
As for virginity, the most hurting effect of "losing" it is thinking that you'll never find it again, unless you undergo surgery.

Dear,

Please dont have sex. You are way too young. Honey, I WISH I was still a Virgen and had never lost my virginity. Trust me, I lost my virginty at 18, and you will only get used, played, and hurt. You might even get an STD like herpes, genital warts, and HPV because condoms DO NOT protect you from those diseases since they are caught from skin to skin contact.

Once you lose your Virginity is gone FOREVER. Dont throw away your Purity like that! Being a Virgen and being Pure was the happiest time of my life. I felt so young, beautiful and free.
I wish I could feel that way again.

Please stop following the crowd. I know that most teen girls think that having sex is "cute" and what makes you a woman: Its Not! Those guys make fun of the girls they have sex with, and that guy will move on to the next as soon as he hops off you. If he does stick around, it will only be for the free sex--but I guarantee you he will treat you Badly after you have sex--trust me.

You could get Pregnant, and become a "baby's momma". Do you know that if you get pregnant, you would need your Parents permission to get an Abortion? Its called Parental Consent Laws. And, condoms break all the time! My father had a baby when he was 16 by a girl in highschool because the condom broke. It was the worst mistake of his life because they werent ready to have a baby at all.

Listen, go to Planned Parenthood to learn..If you are going to have sex no matter what we say--then you need to lean how to USE a condom: like NOT putting any oil or vaseline on a condome ever because it will break.

Please look at the photos below to see the Reality of Sex: Sexually Transmitted Diseases.
