my boyfriend helped me do an outdoors festival for my small business.I gave him a stack of business cards to pass out to interested parties, but i ran out of cards before he did,so i asked for half his stack. He reluctantly gave me back my cards but they had beed severly altered,he had scratched out my name and contact number and replaced it with his name and home phone number,he said he needed his own clientelle so he could always get his percentage(this was never disgussed,he only volunteered for the weekend) should i've been shocked or was he right for being so interprising

First of all he didn't ask you if this was acceptable and when he agreed to pass out your cards it was with the understanding this would benefit you for a contact list. This is betrayal and he is rather self seeking in using your trust to personally gain for himself. Not only was this a cheesy but it was also very sneaky on his part. I would say time to find a new boyfriend one that you can trust.

Talk about nerve.
Is he even part of the business.
No way, you should be annoyed. Unless otherwise discussed or he is REALLY helping you, not just passing out cards on the weekend.

Forget that, pass them out yourself or get a REAL friend to help you instead.

What is this guy going to take you for if your business really takes off....sounds like a crook in the making.
Move on before he costs you a lot more.

He seems to be more interested in himself than you. If you had discussed it before and he had some cards of his own to share, that would be one thing. He sounds pretty hopeless to me. Not really volunteering for you.

Why would you even have to ask this question? You know the answer, and so does he. Now move on and find an adult to have a relationship with.

if you still call him your b**friend, then i think you need to check your relationship with him...

those types of actions can happen more than once. personally, a shocking action like that, well, the person should be treated with more caution...
