I filled the radiator with anti-freeze and filled the overflow to the mark, then I cranked the car and purged. Why is it that one week later there is no anti-freeze in the overflow and no visible leaks? Please explain in detail.

i own a shop, and pressure may have caused it to be blown out,,either that or it wasn't all the way full ,once an engine warms up they often take more anti freeze to fill them up,,good luck.

A car like a baby sometimes needs burped because of an air pocket /airlock in the cooling system. So refill everything while the engine is cool and with the radiator cap off let it run till the thermostat opens Do this with the heater /defroster on at max.You will know when this happens as the coolant level will drop and you top off the radiator and put on the cap. Recheck after a week or so and make sure the engine is cold when you take off the cap and check level then . If all coolent is gone then you have a blown headgasket

If the car is running good, it could be a cracked engine block. Most likely it is boiling over and you are driving it and not noticing. If it is a head gasket, you temperature gage should indicate it. Run it at idle a long time and place cardboard under it and see where it is actually leaking out. I had a Chevy that did that and couldn't find any leak, and it had a cracked block. Check close your thermostat.

the reason at the back of 2 cooling followers on the radiator are as follows: a million. One cooling fan is attached electronically to the engine temperature sensor and is regulated on and rancid by utilising the engine temperature. 2. the different fan is only dedicated to furnish cooling for the air con condenser. This fan runs finished-time whilst the AC is working. 3. the two followers will run on an analogous time and independently, staring on the demands located on the engine and air con equipment.

intake gaskets are leaking the antifreeze into the crankcase, aka check your engine oil to make sure it's not filled with antifreeze. if it is, it will be a murky, dark mustard color.

Could be burning it up in the head....or only pushing it out while you are going down the road.

intake manifold gasket leak. pull your dipstick and smell the oil on it. if it has an antifreeze smell to it. then the gasket is leaking.
